My Remembrance SL8

My Remembrance SL8, affectionately known as Poppy, is a modern young mare by Jolly Stone SL8 out of our homebred mare Ambiance SL8 (Apiro). She is a majestic, athletic mare with an excellent temperament, quality movement, and the natural athleticism we strive to produce at Slate Equestrian. As a second-generation homebred, Poppy represents the continued development of our breeding program and the strength of the maternal lines we are building.

Her sire Jolly Stone SL8 is known for producing modern sport horses with exceptional canters, powerful hindquarters, natural scope, and outstanding temperaments. His offspring consistently demonstrate the rideability, balance, and athleticism sought after in today's hunter and jumper market, making him a highly respected influence in modern sport horse breeding.

On the dam side, we find Ambiance SL8, one of our first homebred mares and a daughter of Apiro. Apiro, a son of the legendary Argentinus, has proven himself both in competition and as a sire, producing successful sport horses and approved stallions while consistently passing on athleticism, scope, and exceptional rideability. Ambiance has become an important foundation mare for our breeding program, producing foals with quality movement, excellent temperaments, and the athletic ability we value.

My Remembrance SL8 represents the next generation of the Slate Equestrian breeding program. Combining proven European bloodlines with a carefully developed homebred dam line, she embodies our goal of producing modern, rideable sport horses with the talent and temperament to succeed in the North American hunter and jumper market.
